Recognition of subjects

Recognition of Courses (extract from the Study and Examination Regulations of the VŠPJ - valid from 10 August 2022)

  1. A student may apply for the recognition of courses taken at the same or another university, provided that these courses correspond to the courses in the recommended curriculum of the VŠPJ. A student may also apply for the recognition of courses taken at a higher vocational school or within the framework of lifelong learning, provided that these courses correspond to the courses in the recommended curriculum of the VŠPJ and are courses that are not part of the profiling basis of the study programme. The recognition of courses is decided by the degree programme director. In the case of practice courses, the student may also apply for their recognition on the basis of practice which he/she has completed other than as part of his/her studies at the university.
  2. Examinations and credits classified under paragraph 1 shall be graded with the word "recognised" and shall not be included in the student's average classification. Credit awarded under paragraph 1 shall be assessed by "recognised ". The credit value of each recognised course shall be recognised at the same credit level as the course taught in the programme of study to which the candidate has been admitted.
  3. 3. The application for course recognition must be submitted electronically, and the required attachments in paper form must be submitted to the Study department no later than the end of the first teaching week of the semester in which the student plans to count the credits.

More detailed conditions for recognising study courses at the VŠPJ are contained in the Methodological instruction on the organisation of teaching in accredited study programmes at the VŠPJ (MP No. 2/2021).
